Newcastle Morning

Inspired by the traditional, old-world style, Bière de Coupage, we created this rustic farmhouse ale by blending mature spontaneously-fermented farmhouse ale with younger, livelier farmhouse ale. Bière de Coupage literally translates to beer that is "cut" or "blended." In this case we cut mature 2 year old "Native/Wild" with our farmhouse table beer, "Again & Again." The result incorporates the best of both of the beers, the mature tartness and complex aroma of Native/Wild with the bright, crisp, drinkability of Again & Again.

Additionally, we decided to bottled Newcastle Morning in 500mL green glass bottles (a first for us), which, when exposed to light, adds another layer of complexity to the blend.
